Winter's Breath

Winter's Breath

A Poem by Achilles 德国牧羊犬
"

I can't fully remember the feelings behind this poem, I know someone close to me was struggling with depression at the time and that was a key thing in a lot of what I wrote back then.

"
Today I think I’ll watch the snow descend
White flakes falling ever towards the earth
Their cold beauty heralds the summers end

While the dark sky signals winters new birth

The ground shines white with hard frosted snow fall
And light from windows high dances off ice
Winter grips the world, making us its thrall,
And all the land held in a snowy vice

The cold and dark are as a home for me
All round the wind sings for those who can hear
There is meaning in the snow, can you see?
A voice, a word, calling for you to fear

I am one with the wind, my breath, its breath
I am one with winter, my death, its death
