A poem on the present conflict in the middle belt of Nigeria

The rush of adrenaline
The pump of blood through bloodshot eyes
The groan of a dying kin
The dying songs of the valley ties

They have attacked
Stomping on all in their way
Bloodshed in the aftermath of their match
Retaliation.... The only song sung

The sad tale of a fertile valley
In ruins
By the fighting of brothers
Over the land and cattle
This is the tale of the benue
