Love comes after

Love comes after

A Poem by LadySoDivine
"

Older people tell us teens and young adults "You're too young to love. Love comes later." But does it really?

"
Two children at the age of 8,
Holding hands, with hearts without hate
Filling the air with cheerful laughter.

But what do they know?
They have their whole life to go.
Because love comes after.

Two teens, they're only 17
Their bodies close, they're sweetly kissing.
What the world thinks - doesn't matter.

But what do they know?
They have their whole life to go.
Because love comes after.

Two young adults, 21-years-old
Planning their future, with just each other to hold.
And all he loves in his life is her.

But what do they know?
They have their whole life to go.
Because love comes after.

Two elder adults, now wise, but lonely.
Sitting alone, they lost the one-and-only.
They never gave the "forever and always" vow.

Because now they know
That so many years ago
It should have been "Love comes now".

"Love comes now".
The above line is true. We must grasp love when she is close. Your poem told a real story. Love come when we don't expect it and a wise person cherish every second of real love. I like the mini-stories in the poem. Gave strength and purpose to your poem. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Love the different stages of this it works really well to tell your story and add contrast and depth. Love isn't bound by age but definitely means different things at different ages, thinks I.

Wonderful, extremely wonderful....Never pass a chance of true love....even if it does not show up until you are in your 40's.

Love can form in many different ways... The important thing is never take advantage of it... Always look at present day and never focus on the future... Live for now... Not later in life... Very good...

Hahahaha xD Thank you :3
Wow, thank you so much for that and thank you for writing such a wonderful piece. There is so much truth in this and in a way it is sad, but, love comes when love comes and we can not ignore it for if we do we end up like the two folks sitting at the end of your poem, lonely. I will tell you this, I am considerably older than you, not going to say how much, but I am still in love with my first girlfriend in high school though I haven't seen her in many, many years. That is when I learned what love was...
