Breathing the same storm

When you love someone so much, no problem is big enough and no evil can defeat you.

The silent night is slowly nearing.

The crimson sky is turning black.

Those enemies that I am fearing

Are getting ready to attack.

You stand by my side as you hold my hand,

I know that you're thinking the same as I.

The fiends in front are waiting for command,

But I feel strong, because you are my ally.

The only thing I fear, what could truly kill me

Is the possibility of them turning you against us.

Because they have a way of making you see

Things in which you should never trust.

But these monsters cannot be fought.

They are not something you can wound by hand.

They are the words that destroy and rot.

They tear us apart even when together we stand.

However, I'll always put my faith in you.

Because, even when they're winning, you still fight.

You fight for us, our love and you're true.

So I'll fight beside you, because we can win tonight.

So I keep holding your hand and I am blissful,

And the softness of your voice keeps me warm.

Because we are both fighting this battle

And together, we are breathing the same storm.

This is a really great poem, I very much enjoyed it. You've split the stanzas well, there is a very good rhyme scheme and the rhythm throughout the piece flows very well. There are one or two words which don't necessarily work with the rhyme scheme but it does not take away from the poem as a whole. Your message and tone is fantastic, and I love the ending line! Nice work :)
