Hollow heart

Hollow heart

A Poem by LadySoDivine
"

I sit alone in this night, waiting for someone who will not arrive, while it lifelessly breathes - this hollow heart.

"
The shadows are waiting
The voices are chanting
In the humming I hear
slow taps

The eyes start bleeding
The lungs aren't breathing
Silently I hope for an
inevitable collapse

The throat starts coughing
The devil is laughing
I wait patiently for the
pain to start

The darkness empowers
The emptiness devours
But there's still a faint beat in
this hollow heart

A bit of a re-write of a poem I wrote in my native language. Now I realize that the original has a much larger impact, but nonetheless I like this as well. :)

You can hear those echoes loud and clear in a dark, empty night as if the collapse might start at any moment. Excellent...:)....................
