Nothing but sad goodbyes...

Nothing but sad goodbyes...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik
"

written for a contest :D

"

Nothing but sad goodbyes…

There is nothing I could ever say,

Nothing I could do to make you stay.

And now my only wish is for you to see,

Of what will happen if you ever leave me…

I know I let you down but I won't do it again,

And I'm even ready to accept your every blame.

Stop now… forsake of the pain which I kept inside,

Forsake of the tears which I never cried.

But in spite of that you left with wet eyes,

And gave me nothing but sad goodbyes…

Without you, I don't know what will I do,

I will always remain incomplete without you.

Without you I can't breathe, without you I can't sleep,

And from my heart I will never ever let you leave.

You were my life and will always be,

As you know how much you mean to me.

You were the only one that I got right,

And you will always remain here inside.

But you left me with these tearful eyes,

And gave me nothing but sad goodbyes…

You're one of the most talented writers on the site, Bhavya. You have done a superb job of of embracing the pain and memories accompanying the power of goodbye. Images associated with tears, loneliness and emptiness are strongly felt. Repetition, color change and photos add the finishing touch to this heartfelt work of art.
I hope you win the contest!!

This is wonderful...I love it. I believe for me this is one of your best!

I love these lines: You were my life and will always be,

As you know how much you mean to me.

You were the only one that I got right,

And you will always remain here inside

Those lines are just perfect, and they all fit together
so nicely. Keep up the wonderful work my friend......AD

"She said sometimes love slips away
And you just can't get it back" - Carrie Underwood

*gives you a brief hug*
but then sometimes its because live has something planned
though i wish that they tell us what it is
so we can look foward to it

This is so very sad, and beautifully haunting - it would make a very good song. Great writing, feeling, makes one cry. It reminds me of those old lyrics, who is it, Bonnie Rait, not sure, but

You can't make someone love you if they don't
You can't make a heart feel something it won't

Just heartbreaking and your writing makes the pain so real and strong.

Let me tell you Bhavya, this is very rare when I feel so strong for the writer that I want to do something for them. Right now, I want to give you a tight hug! Just tell me about that girl, I will bring her back to you..That's a promise.
This really made my day! Awesome work!!!!

Bhavya, oh my... this is your best yet. Wow! WOW.

This is so touching and heartbreaking....
If only everyone could find this kind of love, minus the pain...

This really shows your heart, and it's a beautiful one.

You're an incredible writer my friend. Truly incredible...

Much love,
Dani

This poem can make anyone cry, trust me...I felt so terribly sad after reading it. I'm numb and falling short of words. I really feel very sorry for you my dear friend. Hope things will turn well for you.

This is really sad, extremely sad! This also reminds me of one of the songs of "The Rascals" and the second picture's quote is really tremendously awesome, Such a sad and emotional work. I'm sure you will win the contest!

One cannot review something as personal as this.

Your heart bleeds with every word that flows from it.
This is another remarkable piece from you. Thanks for sharing.

I used to be (and still am) so scared of the word 'goodbye' that I never said it to the person I don't want to live without...not even when I met him for the last time. Probably, I don't want to face the truth. This poem took me back to that day and moment. Thanks for that.
