I just imagined you

I just imagined you

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

There you are now, finally walking towards me,

Creating glitters in my eyes, and a smile on my face.

I hugged you tightly to acknowledge your presence,

To never let you go, to cherish your sweetest grace.

Your fingertips gently touched my drenched skin,

And with this touch, you captivated every part of me.

I cried with joy, for it was like my dream coming true,

When you took my hand and started to dance with me.

Suddenly a cold wind came and sucked all the sanity in me.

I opened my eyes with lack of desire into this hard reality.

Your touch, your voice, your smell was nothing but my imagination.

To keep myself alive, sometimes I have to live with this deception.

sometimes the harsh truth of reality is very hurting, this was how i felt when my friend died, wanted to speak with her, hold her close and say "it'll all be soon over", but then realized that she had passed away! wonderful poem!
