Unsettle down.

Unsettle down.

A Story by Mirza Mehak

Have you ever tried and failed at the attempt of making jelly? This is how it goes.

Hot bubbly vibrant flowing liquid is poured into a mold. It is kept trapped in it for a long long time. It is expected to set in the mold but yet slightly wiggle like a pretense of being allowed freedom.

When you check, the top layer seems to have set. But when u turn it upside down and lift off the mold, the half set liquid flows right out of the plate, messing the things around it but flows away unapologetically like a released prisoner . It is now cold, not as warm or vibrant as before. It even has to carry a few lumps along with it that had set as per the mold. But now there is no point trying to put it back in the mold.
It has tasted bitterness of restrictions and now the sweet tanginess of freedom. It knows that its previous warmth will come back and all lumps will eventually melt. It was never meant to set. That was pre-decided in the way it was made.

Let it flow. Let it go.
