FUNERAL

FUNERAL

A Poem by bibin Sebastian
"

death that makes everyone equal came to me one day.........

"

Funeral

A hand rolled over my eyes

closed it and uttered he's dead

Rest in peace they said

to the one who never rested in life

They cried over my bad lucks

Followed the howls of unfinished works.

I was mummified with tears and hugs

and bound with eulogy and epitaph of lies.

The heat from tears of widowhood

has cremated the body already dead.

Many were missing from the cortege

But death the uninvited guest was there.

I was placed in the womb of the earth

Where the worms were ready to kiss.

I was buried along with my dreams

Dreams that never came true.

Encrypted on my beautiful tomb

“The tomb of an empty handed idiot

Who never brought or taken anything.”

Death takes me to tomorrow

The place with more stars you can't count

The place with more suns you can't think

Hello, bibin! :)
I like the wording.
I'll hang on to life as long as it lets me. Haha

A poem to ponder over! wonderfully penned!
Death is so convincingly portrayed...
specially some lines just caught me-
"Encrypted on my beautiful tomb
“The tomb of an empty handed idiot
Who never brought or taken anything.”
Death takes me to tomorrow
The place with more stars you can't count
The place with more suns you can't think"
I appreciate your choice of words as well!!
thank you for sharing:)
i'll rate it 100!!

You stay true to your About section. It's very rare to meet writers and poets who express themselves without censorship. Your efforts to visualise funeral has paid off with such beautiful words.

A life without meaning and purpose. It is sad one. The poem was very sad. Death is never a happy day for us or someone else. Great description made the reader think and ponder. Thank you Bibin for sharing the excellent poetry.
