It's been so long since we've truly talked that it seems hard to believe you were once my confidant. It's been so long, that it makes me wonder if you were ever truly there.

However, I know you were. I know you helped me through one of the hardest years of my life. When I reacted like a teenager, you let me just talk it out, something that no one had ever let me do before.

Even though you now blamed me for upsetting one of my best friends--who you've gotten to know well--I want to thank you for being there when no one else would.

I suppose then, that I'm not jealous.

In fact, I want to wish you luck.

Help our friend through her hardest year, and be there when no one else will.
