'Tal': Number Twenty-Three

(Author's Note: LB is a sophomore looking to take me to our Christmas Ball. I rarely see him, and have really only talked to him twice. This is my first time going, and it's my plan to just go with friends. Unless some other circumstances fall neatly into place.)

You called today, wanting to understand why I would go with LB to the dance, since texting wasn't working very well.

I have never let my heart go as much as I did. Tal, you got a glimpse at what I personally rarely share. I've done so in general terms, but nothing so sincere as what I confessed to you today.

Let me say, it was a relief.
