'JA': Number One

'JA': Number One

A Chapter by Kyari Hasutto

I met you my sophomore year when the sophomore class cabinet set up a middle school dance and you were helping out. I'm not entirely sure why you were there, but perhaps it was because you were a senior and old enough to chaperone.
For the next two years you nearly faded out of my memory.
But then you reappeared. My statuses, centering mostly around senior year, became more frequently liked and commented on by you. One particular day I had boy trouble, and you tried to convince me to just go for it. From there on out, you always asked me how I was doing.
One day I turned it around, concerned about you. I learned somethings that day that I never expected to know. You needed help. You tried so hard to try to tell me to avoid it, having remembered that I didn't want to get hurt (the reason why I avoided relationships). But it doesn't matter. I want to help. If I got hurt, it would be worth it to help you.

You leave for overseas in couple of months. I'll still be available to talk, whenever you need me.
