Breaking of the Angel

Breaking of the Angel

A Poem by The Elder Pine

Sodom so loud
Lock and key
Demonic destiny
Writhe within the bail

Sound lone
Stumble ‘neath the bark
Dirty angel
Scarred the glass
Ash in mouth
Tooth and nail
Scalding the horn!

Taming the innocence
Ravaging wings
Star dust torn
A tear unfurling

Purity awash with the remnants
The damage of the act
Treason of trust
Leaving the angel
Disheveled, decrepit, alone

Wonderful rhyme scheme with a thought provoking subject.

An innocent robbed before her time. So sad this happens and scars one for life.

Nice write!

Innocence corrupted, cannibalized, and ultimately abandoned by the puss covered scabs of humanity who deserve nothing less than to live in their own sewers and be eaten alive by the rats they've become.
