Gardens of my love

Gardens of my love

A Poem by Big ol' Kahuna
"

just a little poem about the power of love, the power of eyes, and the love that we share in life. This is for honeypot.

"

In my heart I have planted five gardens
And lovingly engrained them on your fingertips.

The first on your thumb is the garden of happiness,
Where unable to grow is fear, anger, or sadness.
Sunflowers and pretty daisies are set all around,
Halloweens happy pumpkins are planted on the ground.
Under lime, lemon, and palm trees the dragonflies flit,
Round beautiful blooming flowers where butterflies sit.

Next for the pointer finger the garden of healing,
To help mend any sad or unhappy old feelings.
In the center of the garden aloe Vera thrive,
Neath the splendid and many busy honey bee hives.
Weeping willows protect and whisk away all your tears,
Like a loving mother’s warm hug, best one of the year.

Now the center one goes the garden of memories,
Sweeter to see than a big basket of pastries.
Baby’s breath growing strong to remind you of our kids,
Evergreens and some pines where pretty ground squirrels hid.
Waterfall in the middle is splashing all about,
Help to wash any bad ones just right the hell out.

On your ring finger grows the garden of commitment,
Stronger than a lead box full of life’s full love shipment.
Venus flytraps and the holly from the bugs protect,
And the cacti that grow here no damage you detect.
Mighty redwoods stand tall and so strong way up above,
Lasting longer than lives yet still not long as our love.

Last the pinkie finger gets my budding garden of love,
Stronger than any other love save that for from above.
White lilies, lavender roses, and orchids all in bloom,
Cherry blossoms, jalapenos, and of course yummy shrooms.
Passion fruit and habanera like the love that we make,
Honeysuckle and jasmine for love we never forsake.

These are the gardens that come straight from my loving heart,
I bequeath them to you but please don’t tear them apart.
Only sun they will need the amber light from your eyes,
And some blinks so your lashes scare away all the flies.
Please use your eyes to light my gardens from up above,
So they can grow strong this life and soak up all your love.

For your heart I have planted my five gardens,
And lovingly engrained them on your fingertips.

Wow! This could touch anyone's deep-seated emotion. It's so sweet and so sincere. Of all the five gardens, it's the fourth which I love best because when everything else fails, it will help save a relationship and will make it stay strong amid the storm. A lovely write.

Honestly you are an amazing poet. I would never recognize you to be a rooky. This is so beautiful, so detailed, so sweet and passionate, and of course romantic. The imagery is gorgeous! I can see every flower and tree planted and the idea of a garden on each finger, wow! Creative and downright beautiful, Sugarbear. Keep practicing the poetry and keep it coming.
Truly a lovely write.
Cheers.

I have NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER...READ something as sweet and as honest as this lovely poem.
I am so jealous of honeypot now.
What a powerful yet innocent, sweet yet passionate, intense and fragrant poem it is...!!
it brings out the bare emotions to the surface and those emotions created ripples everywhere....ripples of peace, faith, hope and love....ripples to revive faith on love, ripples of joy and ripples of truth....
the turmoil inside the mind is so peaceful today after reading this
I am going to make my husband read this tonight and I am sure he will agree to my point of view.
I am so astonished that i am blabbering....coherence is lost and i am lost
Superb, amazing, awesome, intriguing, haunting, - all words fail to describe the magnifique nature of the poem....
Yes MAGNIFIQUE is the WORD

I forgot to mention one thing which is how much I loved the variety of of plants in the gardens and how each plant represents each garden, or emotion. I think you did a wonderful job and you shoudl be very proud.

Well, I'm not a poet, but I think this is wonderful! Its a wonderfully unique idea and full of love and hope. The idea of the gardens on each fingertip is really intriguing. It makes me think the hand represents something? God maybe? To me it does have an almost spritual aspect to it. Its a beautiful love poem. See! You can write poetry. You're very good at it too. You're also a very good husband.
