Starman: Capsule for One

Starman: Capsule for One

A Poem by Footprints al carbon

Bowie, Tesla, Musk, Wheeler, Lynch

We shot you away!
To cruise in style,
You're on your way now,
You'll be gone a while;

What will you do?
Staying steady in place,
A body in motion,
With poise and with grace;

Someday we'll find you:
And learn of your fate,
Don't panic, relax,
Just sit there and wait;

It's rough to exist -
In a far away place,
When you're floating away,
In the radiation of space;

It's not that we didn't like
  to see your gaze down here,
But we want you to show us,
That there's nothing really to fear.

I'm a part time poet, usually during waking hours. An idea must be fed and put to bed in harmonic frequency as to the sun moving about the sky. Poetry is exhausting so burn clean my peoples. more..
