how it feels to be me

how it feels to be me

A Poem by The Everyday Surprises of Having a Family

When you look me in the eye

And tell me that I'm beautiful

I'm happy and that's why

You seem believable

You always compliment me

And I know your just lieing

But I want to believe it's true

And that's why I'm always crying

Now I find we could have been

There could have been a me and you

But I have someone else

So us together will never come true

I guess I'll just hope and pray

Just wait until next year

Maybe then there'll be a you and me

That's what I hold so dear

This is how it feels to be me
