one true friend

for apple, my best friend in the whole world

A true friend is like a rare gem

too valuable to lose.

too difficult to find.

amidst the high and low tides

of one’s life,

there is someone whom

you can count on,

every minute, every second

of the day.

Moments spent are too precious

needs to be cherished,

because it is not a fake.

Only few people are fortunate

to have one true friend

in one’s life.

I consider myself  one of the few

who managed to find a gem

For life.

It's corny to say, but I would honestly consider my wife my best friend. She's the first person I call when something good happens, the first person I call when something bad happens. I feel like this poem could apply to any kind of relationship. Nicely done!
