never come back

never come back

A Poem by sette

There are things you need to throw,

There are things you need to keep,

There are moments worth remembering,

There are moments be forgotten,

When you came into my life,

Everything was in shambles,

I never did want to look forward,

I just want every little thing back

To the vacuum,

You gave me something to live for,

Knowing that I am still worthy to be here.

But life can be cruel at times,

I know just like any thing that passed my life,

You will just go away and never come back.

deeply sad is what i feel in reading .. so well done .. very straight forward and clear .. except for the vacuum .. not quite sure how that fits??? i also feel the depression in this .. giving birth to expectations of more loss ...point out to me how depression can and does take ones life away ... kind of a Zombie state if you will ... thanks goodness it is diagnosed as an illness now and treatable .. there is a heaviness in your poem ... i think when we share such things .. everyone who reads/listens takes a piece of that load off us ... makes it more bearable than it otherwise would be .. thanks so much for sharing sette .. peace and joy!

What a shame that our dreams are at times, so short. Pleasant dreams, of course are the best but at least we have the fond memories of those.
Take care - Dave

I imagine it was not meant to be.... but... at least you have captured moments and got the rest off ya chest.... big breaths, chin up and march forward..... who knows what might be around the corner.... N :)
