Independence Day.

Independence Day.

A Poem by imatotalboss

I sit on my front porch, it's silent here.
I sit here and ponder on what's been made clear.
It's beautiful and silent, so silent..
I turn my attention to the sky and the sky explodes with color,
There's a bang and beautiful sparks cover the once velvety sky.
Rippling across catching my eye.
Nights like this I'll cherish for years.
I don't know if it was his hand on my shoulder,
Or the tears of happiness in my eyes.
Cherishing sweet kisses under exploding skies,
Yes this is truly freedom.
Cherishing sweet kisses under exploding skies.
Giving our hearts to one another,
On this day of Independence.
Kissing under exploding skies.
