Real At All?

Real At All?

A Poem by hello mitzikitty
"

Wrote this last year.

"

He left me one morning,
he was forcin' the horse in haste
he left me here alone to taste the dust
as if nothing had ever happened with us

I stood ever still, ever heavy
as tears fell away just like he did that day
I threw his rose aside
as he never looked back behind

I cussed at the sun
swore at it till it left me too
I waited for him to come back soon
but all I got was that moon

I'll scratch you away from memory
-you've ceased to exist!
attach your face to another
I'll pretend I ran away

Nevermind, forget it all,
don't fret, never forgive, put it all to rest
best sleep it off, wake up tomorrow
when all this sorrow's been made numb
