Falling to My Knees

Falling to My Knees

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

I saw you dying

I close my eyes

And you were gone

In my arms you lye

It’s too much to take

When the tears flow my eyes

My life will never be the same

As I watch you fade

I’m falling to my knees

It’s something that I can’t take

I want you to just breathe

So I can end this nightmare of pain

If I see you again

I will tell you

I’m sorry I wasn’t there in the end

Take my life rip it out

So I can die for you

This heart is for you

Take it from me now

I feel ashamed

I put you in that grave

I was too late

My sorrow breaks me

So much shame

There is no way for you to reborn

I hate myself more and more

There is so much remorse

Forever I am torn
