My Soul Lay Sleeping

My Soul Lay Sleeping

A Poem by bobby
"

There is fa more to life than a physical body

"

My soul lay sleeping

On a forgotten island

In a shell swept to the shore

Sweet songs lay silently secret

Within my bowels

Golden light that creeps

Within like fingers coaxes me

To come out and play

I hear the sirens serenade

On the whips of wind

In the shadow of the moon

From places no one sees

Deep within and far away

Golden light that creeps

Within like fingers coaxes me

To come out and play

The inner me, the soul of me, hidden from the world, sees the light, feels the wind's whisper, waits for the safe time to reveal itself.

A very creative take on how our soul behaves and what it's like inside us. Interesting subject matter and an okay flow. Great job. :)
