Angels and Demons

Angels and Demons

A Poem by Allison

I'm dating someone who's in a very wrong relationship. How can I tell that person that I don't love them and I never have without crushing them?

I'm battling angels, hoping you'll stay,

I'm battling demons, hoping you'll go.

I don't know what to say,

But I know we should be done.

I crave the love of another that I know I'll never have.

You have the love of another, who's love you shouldn't have.

I'm afraid to leave you, because you won't let go,

I'm afriad to stay, because my guilt will start to show.

I'm battling two sides of a war, hoping one will back down.

But I feel the need to say I hope the demons won.

Im glad you figured out what side to chose. Portrays a helpless confusion holding on to the fading strands of strength

It was a part of my life last month. Thank God I figured out a way to end it.

Bad position in which to be as an individual..That is very stressful to be warring within oneself..Of course, this is probably just a topic and not life..Sunflower

Battling angels and demons can be so trying on the heart. I believe this is when the soul of us clicks in, and we ask our spirit to take over and to guide us.
The honesty you put into this is amazing.
