A Poem by Lissianna

So much doubt and no where to hide

Feel so trapped inside my own mind

Then he looks at me and I smile like I've been drinking whiskey shots

And when we kiss my stomach gets all tied up in celtic knots

My gypsy heart burns with desire

Like its been reborn from the ashes and flames of phoenix fire

I don't cry with him by my side

Hope he never says good-bye

This girl once so consumed with darkness and pain

In his arms now only feels safe and for once sane

Good poem. I especially loved the Phoenix in this as I'm obsessed with mythological creatures. The structure is formed nicely.
But you should make more love poems that are much darker in nature, you might do quite well.

I love your figurative language and your writing a whole lot, but I think that it would sound better if the poem had pauses between "feels safe And for once" and "sane" It would sound better if you finished with that right after a pause.

I can't believe more people haven't read this! Very good writing!

Aspiring poet/writer, I have a variety of hobbies and interests and have a bubbly personality once you get to know me. I've been going through a bit of a hiatus lately due to writers block and other e.. more..
