Poseidon's Deadly Sea

Poseidon's Deadly Sea

A Poem by Brandee D. Hack

"
I waited for the silence it never came.
Just like the creepy lady that kept screaming my name.

The horrible nightmares I see every night.
They make me want to shrivel up and die.

I've never been so depressed before,
but now all I see is him standing in the door.

The tree of tinsel and odd delights,
those Berlin streets and harsh night lights.

I think the night walking and screaming are bad
but who will ever know, no one to hear me sad.

I'm bedazzled with crimson of harsh violent scenes.
Of snakes wrapped around a human Christmas tree.

I think of the post, the letter and bed.
I imagine everything said and unsaid.

Now I lie in this state of depression so deep
that only my heart holds the secrets I keep.

Now no one will ever know the love that I have
because tomorrow will be the last light I see.
With so many painful thoughts around me.
Now my body will join Poseidon's Sea.
