Mom

Mom

A Poem by Brandi_mae
"

This one is an older one that I wrote that I stumbled upon in one of m books. I really like it. Hope you do too

"

The only thing I ask

Is that you never take the blame

For all the wrong that I do.

I don’t do these things because you haven’t taught me the right way,

Or because I might be mad at you that day.

I don’t always have an explanation for all the wrong that I do,

But always know it’s never done intentionally to hurt you.

Maybe I don’t think of all the pain in creates,

Or how, when I do them, you heart aches.

Or how happy you’d be if I’d only object.

I wish I were still your baby, that way you could always protect me.

I have to make the choices on my own,

I can’t be your baby, now that I’ve grown.

So now after all these lies and deception it will be quite hard for you to start believing,

It will take time to prove to you that I can be responsible,

But in the end I will prove to you it’s possible.

Thanks mom for all the talks and things you do

I know it’s hard and it doesn’t seem like its getting through,

But this time I’m listening and it may take a while,

And I know I can do it, if it makes you smile.
