This is a poem I wrote about my relationship. About wanting to be put first but never making the list of priorities.

You
break my heart
in the blink of an eye

Yet
right before your eyes
I'm waiting.

I'm always waiting
to be at the top of your list

I sit at your door
I see your happiness
when I'm not around.

Yet I keep waiting
to beat the top of your list.

I'm never at the top of that list.
