Stand Above Your Lies

I wrote this about my ex. I needed to get it out.

You stand above me.

Taller than I. Stronger than I.

And you believe you are better than me.

I am the bit of dust that you sweep underneath your carpet.

Carpet of disillusion.

You believe that by putting on that mask,

And ignoring who I am to you,

That I will not arise to soon avenge my pain.

You are wrong.

Incredibly wrong.

I am just as strong as you put yourself out to be.

Would you like to know why?

Because everything you say,

Everything you do,

It is fake.

A lie.

And anything in the world.

Truly anything,

Is stronger than a lie.
