wrath of a child

wrath of a child

A Poem by Latifa
"

this poem encompass what i believe the children of wars are going through so enjoy it please

"
Upon the crumbling walls i stood
Through the deteriorating roofs i looked
I gazed around the shattering windows
I listened to the dreary screams of widows
The life i knew so well slipped from me
In a sudden moment of utter melancholy
I wandered aimlessly
I cried a piercing shriek that reached the deepest sea
Where are you mother ?
Where have you gone father ?
Why did you abandon me brother ?
The sky sobbed with me
The subtle breeze of the world consoled me
For you have missiles
I have tears
For you have rifles
I have smiles
I shall clad my self in the cloak of innocence
I shall engulf my heart into convalescence
You conceal your face into disguise
You look at me with cunning eyes
Tittering and laughing on your own lies
For i , i shall rebel my friends
So believe me this is not the end
From the past i depart
From the  sad memories i walk
For i'm ought to carry the flag of liberty
And anchor my name to eternity

The words of Bobby Sands came to me when i read this poem Latifah, "Our revenge shall be the laughter of our children."
I can't say anything more than that.
