Envy

Envy

A Poem by Latifa
"

my very first senryu

"

Gritted teeth of ire,
she sips  her envy basking,
sickened by laughter.

Oooh, I like very much. You can feel the disdain she has at other people's happiness. Really well done!

Envy. One of the seven deadly sins. Artwork and words. Told a complete story. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

People may mistake this for a Haiku, but you are 100% correct on this one Latifa, this is a Senryu, mainly because your subject is 'envy'. I'm hoping people know the difference.
Mathematics aside, this is a well planned Senryu, with a good accompanying picture. You have a way of capturing metaphor in English better than so many English speaking people it's astounding, good work!
