an open prison

an open prison

A Poem by Latifa
"

it's been a while since I've written anything, so this is just a humble free verse that came to my mind to express some negative energy that is rising inside me.

"

A maze of rage unriddled to peace,
 NO, not yet it won't!
the veins are still clogged with questions;
the face still plastic in perfection
where hands are wrinkled with frosting deficit;
the veins are still clogged with questions.
No clock, No seconds, No time
shall unclog the questions,
she needs oxygen of another planet to freshen up
she'll climb to stars if she'll have to.
No dreams,No hopes, No faulty imaginations,
the hazy truth is floating around,
while everyone is blinded by sluggish,
flecks of mumbling thoughts are imprinting the maps of
resolution from within:
she'll fight the ordinary and settles for the unknown
for she may embodies freedom in the unknown.

These lines really stuck out for me - so indicative of that "prison" and the urge to escape it. Well done.

We all long to be free even if it means heading into the unknown. Thanks for sharing...

What I like here is the mix of line length, of pace. A writer I like.

You are welcome...:)......
she'll fight the ordinary and settles for the unknown
for she may embodies freedom in the unknown.

I relate to this lines very much, well penned. Except for a few words which could have been more perfect, I liked the outspoken, intrepid nature of the poem.
