nightly nights

nightly nights

A Poem by Latifa
"

it's been a long while since i've writen anything, so this one is after a long period of writers block.

"
Nightly,nightly nights
come neighing,
they sense my urge for shades
to cool off the itching flames.

nightly, nightly nights
throw their blinking cape
at my crouching spine of worry,
I lay under to pant,
I lay under to solace,
then I fondle with the stars
to shed the aweless
torment and renew the promise
to abolish all that is malice.

I wasnt fond of the word neighing but thats the only thing I didnt like.
The wordplay of the rest was superb and the text choice was just right too.

This is great, using the adjective to describe the noun of the same word, fine idea, even better repeating it, original use of language..excellent !

thank you so much for your wonderful encouraging reviews.
Very good, Latifa. Some fear the night but some can also enjoy the beauty of it. The stars and the moon, the silence too. It's the time that we sleep and become new and fit again. Very well done. :) Rudi
