barefooted

barefooted

A Poem by Latifa
"

Happy world peotry day my fellow writers, enjoy !

"

Does  she walk barefooted?
 she wants to lurk her way out in disguise,
her shoes are too illustrious!
 she has  dumped  the salience that got her no good;
she has  dumped the grey salience.

the springy dawn has brought the basket of flowers
 and the  sky has ripped the clouds of grey,
she came out pretty fine , the sky!
so blue , you can sift through the color;
 so blue,  your eyes squint of its color,
 so she gazed to the sky and decided :
I'll   paint my self in blue
may be... I'll  rip my clouds of grey,
I will walk  barefooted!

thank you for this wonderful review.
Great combination of artwork ( who is this lady, who painted this ? French maybe, 19th century ?) topped up with some fine lines. Excellent.

I like this poem a bit actually. The imagery is very cool, if at times running with a dull ish theme (Grey skies etc).
I actually fancy the idea of walking barefooted sometimes when I'm in forests and the like, but tarmac and stuff is cold and nasty on the skin. The idea though, that she is taking her shoes off and doing the inordinate is very well perceived.
A good write. :)
