The Stars In The Sky

We are all the stars,

floating in the sky

amongst all the planets,

that burn so beautifully bright

We are all the sky,

holding together,

all the stars

and their eternal light

We are the Sun,

and the lonely moon,

a resident from the earth,

boarding a homely room

looking above the sea,

we are there, you and me

We are the ocean,

that comforts the land

And we are the land,

that others walk upon,

the one grain of sand

lost in the lonely desert

And I wonder,

do others see us

Way up there,

among all the other…

...stars in the sky?

Author's Note

I've been gone since January, now hoping to make a return to writer's cafe. I like it here. And I feel like this poem would be a good start to my return.

This really speaks to me, we are all connected in the Circle of Life here on Earth.. My favorite verse in this is:
"looking above the sea,
we are there, you and me
We are the ocean,
that comforts the land"
