The Disappearance of Emily Green

The Disappearance of Emily Green

A Poem by Bridget Murphy

Emily Green was a loving soul,
Pretty and kind, loving and true,
With blue eyes and a freckled nose;
She gained all the love a little soul could.

But Emily Green disappeared one day,
Out of the blue, and people say,
"Evil Men, (or perhaps some green alien)
Came, and took her away."
While other whispers say,
"She was a runaway."

I found out the truth about Miss Emily Green,
And it was not how the others had seen.
There was no kidnapping, or running away
(If you can believe).
Rather she was  just gone, as if from a dream.

You left a mystery and wrote a interesting tale.
"Rather she was just gone, as if from a dream."
Some folks seem like ghost. They come and they are gone. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
