What were the sound in the Mange?

What were the sound in the Mange?

This puts a very different turn on the Christmas story. It takes it from a little different angle than you might think.

"

What were the sounds in the manger that night?  Were the cattle lowing softly so as not to wake the babe?  Were the donkey’s rustling the hay to get a better look at the Christ child by lamp light dim? The sheep were drawing closer to the spot where the babe was wrapped in swaddling clothes.  Were the hens softly clucking to their chicks about the sight, about the King of Kings having just been born that night?

What were the thoughts of the shepherds that night?  Was there fear in their hearts at the sight of the light?  Were they willing to make the Lord real in their hearts?  Was the angel song too much for their troubled souls?  Or did the light seem to gently caress their very soul? The song did it seem to lift up the least of them and draw them to the Christ.  Were their minds renewed in Christ that night through the angel’s greetings that cold frosty night?  Did the frost of the night seem in great contrast to the warmth of their soul upon the sight?  The announcement of the final birth of the Savior that night let them know of God’s divine control.

The wise men had traveled so far to see the sight.  What were their thoughts when that first glance was caught?  Their gifts were brought to pay homage to a king, but before them lay a babe not a king.  So for the value of the gifts they gladly traded for the babe’s first grin.  When entered they into the stable to their knees they quickly bent.  Paying humble homage to the King of Kings and showing us the value of this King.  To each new man who enter in a new found faith will begin.          By MaryAnna Hunt
