Beautiful Dark Angel

She sits there.

Crying.

Her ice blue eyes sparkling off the light.

Her wings safely tucked to her sides.

She hears shouting.

Quickly gets up and goes to her window.

Outside the stars are smiling brightly.

Her door slams open

And she jumps.

Her wings.

A most beautiful blue.

If you look at her quickly, you think.

How wonderful.

How beautiful.

She’s an angel.

Though,

If you look closely.

You see.

The tears.

The holes.

The cuts.

The blood.

If you look hard enough,

You can see her broken soul in her eyes.

For those who will listen.

She has a story to tell.

Of how she became a dark angel.

The story.

It’s the saddest of all.

Once so perfect.

Tortured into what she is.

She lives by fear.

Never straying too far away.

Wanting to break free.

 From the curse that has been forced upon her.

Always alone.

Misunderstood.

Not wanted.

The dark angel flies tonight.
