Our War

Our War

A Poem by Khaotic Katastrophe

Is this a war worth fighting for?

In your dreams of once beautiful things.

I could linger here in the light of your smile

Once for a very long while.

I have come to ends

We stand together

Who knows what will happen in the end

In your world of terrible pain

We fight through the dark to the see the light again.

Stay awake a bit longer my love

We can win what is worth fighting for.

Believe a bit stronger dear

Even though our path is anything but clear.

Confusing is the way that we must take to get out

Tears.

I try to take them away.

Hold on cause we’re going to make it through this war

Through these tears

Breakdown we may

But we get back up on our way

Standing side by side.

Don’t be afraid

Baby hold on.

Whatever it takes

We are going to win what’s worth fighting for.

Always go to sleep without a war on the mind. Never leave the house with angry words. A very good poem. Sometime better to not start a battle. Better to be quiet and hold on tight and enjoy the warmth of a body near. A outstanding poem.

Khaotic Katastrophe, I'm new here on WC and am finding some great poems. A talented bunch is what I'm anxious to become a part of. This piece contains such an upbeat, pep-talkie flow to it. Your rhyme schemes are excellent. I'm rating this the highest I've rated anyone, a 95. (Can you tall me how friend requests are done? There are no directions on the site. Thank you!) take care...riki
