beautiful suicide

beautiful suicide

A Poem by kennedy

there's something about feeling like you could fall away at any given moment,
nothing to stop you from hitting the asphalt and separating into a
million
tiny
pieces
on the roadside.

you know when you feel the wind on your cheeks,
and you can hear the roar of the vehicle beneath you, and you open your eyes
and the same places you've been staring at all your life suddenly look
so damn beautiful?

god,
can't you imagine just letting go one day,
body smashing hard against pavement,
sirens wailing,
but opening your eyes to an incredibly beautiful,
but oh
so
familiar world?

wouldn't that just be amazing?

Loved the structure here, great details, and awesome finish!

A deliciously morbid twist on "feel the wind on your cheeks." I've imagined many times this plunge, just not that nor opening my eyes afterward, and yes I believe it would be amazing.
