Seafarer

Seafarer

A Poem by B.E. Gonzales
"

This poem shows what my world is like. I feel like I'm being punished by the gods to suffer eternal loneliness.

"

I am a lonely seafarer

Cursed by the gods up high

To journey the sea forever

Below the immortal sky

My eyes will never see land

My boat will never touch the shore

Not even a grain of sand!

Only the sea and nothing more

The sky holds countless stars

And so are countless wishes

I would spend countless hours

Feeding my dreams to the fishes

My evenings are filled with sadness

And my days are filled with gloom

I will soon embrace madness

But I am no closer to my tomb

What a profoundly moving, vivid write! You create both a beauty and a sadness mixed within this world of words. You powerfully share the emotion of longing and wanting amidst the anguish of trying to hold on to dreams...

I like this poem. Flow and words were very good. I like the story. The sea can overtake us and make us wish for a good death. A excellent poem.
