She Matters

She Matters

A Poem by bryantvh
"

A simple poem, or maybe just a reminder for us that no matter how busy we are, make time for the ones we love.

"
She sits there with that solemn mask on,
The faults and troubles she would frown upon,
In pain and suffering from night to morn,
Time's in a hurry until she's gone.

She walks to the window and touches the pane,
The virtues she taught has been all in vain,
She called and begged but nobody came,
Now that she's dumb, deaf, blind, and lame.

She wallows in sadness and wipes her tear,
Night after night she sleeps in fear,
All the people she loves and still are dear,
Abandoned her when the tasks are near.

Leaves grow old and fall to the ground,
Why did they leave she could not expound,
She grasped and groped but no love was found,
All they cared was her mite and pound.

Leave no regrets I say to you,
Halt the bustle and think it through,
Stop the how, why, when and who,
She deserves more and you know that's true.
