How I forgot what love could have been

How I forgot what love could have been

A Poem by btang

I stood myopic.

I stood forgotten.

I stood resolute to a fault.

Beneath gasps of breath
Concealing burdens breaking
My shoulders, my hands comforting
A face that no longer stood out

Removed and too far away
With gravity being the last
Burden I can barely hold,
For my toes lost the floor

The shadows are tugging me
And tightly strangling me
Unknowingly weighing me,
Until only seconds exist in me -

I stand without grace.

I fall continuously.

I lay stagnant.
