Angel

Angel

A Poem by becca

A beautiful untouched soul
Graced with the looks of an angel and heart of a saint
Tainted by his tormenter meant to guard him
Then cast his maker away of his own volition
Forced to pay for the choice he has made
Heaven crumbles below his feet faster than he can rebuild
Casted out of heaven by his tormentor, he lived the best he could
Sins and spirits took pieces away one by one
This boy is an angel
One I couldn’t keep safe
Deserving the world, he received it being spat in his face
Even I lost sight in seeing his loss of innocence
What one may do in times of lack of awareness seem to be the ones of most regret
No poem, writing, or plead can push the demons that follow
Nothing can heal but with time
For now the hearts ache of confusion and lust for a better year
