Expunged from the deep, the two-legged Tritoness clambered from the biofilm and swamp lining her rowboat, now marooned on the narrow beach. With two hands thrust deep into the gritty shore, she opened a shallow cavity and buried her diary. Thieving tides washed away the words once committed to ink and parchment.
