Him and Him

Him and Him

A Poem by C.J.G.
"

two.

"

He makes my heart race at an unimaginable speed,

But he keeps the beats steady.

He activates the goose bumps that encumber my entire body,

But he keeps me feeling safe.

He puts my nerves of the edges of their seats,

But when he holds my hand, the weight rises off my shoulders.

He keeps my eyes locked with his as if to release would float me away

If only he knew how weightless he makes me feel.

But

He likes me for me.

If only he knew.

Sounds like love, accepting us how we are. Beautiful poem.

A very good poem. Those people who drive us crazy give us reason to be near and hear their voice. I like the set-up and the surprising ending. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
