A Chapter by C.S#ARP
"

The Bible mentions that the world once had sea monsters (JOB 41:1-43). Evolution mentions they swam over Kansas.

"
Hellmouth, the gateway guard
at the Stull stairway,
the Devil's goldfish,
circling, undulating
with his fiery belly screaming.
A sweetness drifting
from the monster's jaws,
alluring oceanic intruders,
cooking them in his gut,
never bothering to taste.
Keeping Kansas safe and clean,
while maintaing Hell's status quo,
causing the "Prince of Hell,"
Leviathan, to vex himself with envy
shedding tail scales
and wailing in underwater caves
with envious despair,
crooning with the sorrow
of pathetic giant fish.

Kansas, my Atlantis,
land once under the sea,
Home to sea monsters
and home to me.
