Redeemed

Redeemed

A Poem by Charlène Boutin

Something beautiful
Something beyond my ray of hope
What has been lost
Has been returned to me.
Oh, how I cry of hope
Where before I screamed in despair
And the cure
Before my face all this time,
Beckoning me to indulge,
I should have listened.
Now I bathe in it,
Naked in my own silence,
Dipped in gold through
The sparks of my mind;
A mind blackened by disuse,
Misuse,
And redeemed by true beauty:
Words, only words.

The way that this poem is crafted is something to be proud of. You painted a story so well with vivid words and a compelling idea. I just keep wanting to go back and read it over and over again. There is a mystery to this piece. Sometimes I think I understand, and yet I feel it remains an enygma. I do like how it starts off with a nice rhythm. I was hooked right away. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!

There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
