So Tired...

So Tired...

A Poem by A.Lee

I’m tired of living in the hurried bustle

Of each and every day

Of filling my time with meaningless tasks

To keep dark thoughts at bay

I’m tired of constantly making it seem

That life is far from bleak

Of trying to hold up all those around me

When I myself am weak

I’m tired of always holding back tears

When they want to freely flow

Of pushing my feelings so deep inside

And hoping they don’t explode

I’m tired of pretending I am strong

When I know I’m really not

And of having no one there for me

When my sanity is shot

I’m tired of holding my head at night

And trying not to scream

Then waking up like every morning

Wishing it was all a dream

I want someone to take my hand

And tell me its okay

Because I swear to God that I won’t last

If this goes on another day

This is brilliant. I felt the emotion illuminating in each and every word. How you so bluntly said you are tired, and how you wont last, is great. I love it when poems are straight forward like this, because you can relate to the feelings of the poem better. I think these exact thoughts all the time and you have wrote out my emotions in a fantastic form. Great Job.

Close, your eyes. Feel that still deep place, with in you. Think of swimming in clear clean waters, of your spirit. Warm comforting, it's so calm and soothing. The storms above, can't touch you... these some small, surface things. Pass like the wind. Remember, those moments. As a wee small child and the magic seen, on a butterflies wing. Feel the spring breeze, on which it float. Lay in the grass and count clouds, cause no ones around. Remember, on those days. To just shake out your hair. Talk, to the fairies. Cause you do know, they're still there. You are a mystery. Your words, ask me to tell you these things. Bring out, the part of you. That just loves, to sing. To spring flowers. It whisper, remember remember remember. We, are the things. That reach out, to touch you. Hold your hand, let you know.
Your wonder.

Besides... you've got a neat name. Cattie Rain

Wow, this is a really wonderful poem and excellently written. Unfortunately, I know the feeling. For years I was always smiling on the outside and crying on the inside, but one day I decided to heck with that; of course, when I started to show my emotions everyone thought that I had flipped. It feels so much better, when you just let your feelings out. Scream and shout; it good for you!

It's like you're writing this for me, just like all your poetry. You have a fantastic way with words. Amazing, really. I love this one, especially, because it hits close to home right now. Great job! :D

what a great piece. I really enjoyed reading this. Well done. I like the rhyme scheme, when I don't normally, and the diction and spacing is well done. You've picked well with your word choice and you've really managed to pull your reader into your work.

Nice job!

Loved it! I can totally relate to this and I know feeling this way just sucks. I'm tired of it all too but you just have to realize that things will get better. I really enjoyed reading this, I'm going to add it to my library. Keep it up! :) 100/100
