Little Wonders

Little Wonders

A Poem by A.Lee

Today I saw the yellow sun

Moving high above the trees

The morning birds sang their song

As the dewy grass brushed my feet

Today I saw a tiny rabbit

Hopping quickly through the grass

Flowers swaying in its wake

As it hurried to get past

Today I saw a fleeting spark

Shine in my little boy’s eyes

As he smiled and ran to play outside

I began to realize

Today I saw the strongest tree

Get knocked down in its prime

It gave way as the strong wind blew

Robbing it of its time

Today I saw that life is full

Of little wonders every day

But we rarely stop to notice

As they bloom then fade away

Today I saw that life is precious

Whether rabbit, child, or tree

We never know how long it will last

But we know it won’t always be

This is kind of clumsy, in my opinion, but I just wanted to get these thoughts out :)

Such beauty and wisdom in your words. I like the poem. You brought visions of nature to me in your words. A wise person can see the beauty in his life. I have a bad job. When I get home and see my daughter and grandson. I heal from the burden of life. A outstanding poem.

Great write. Beautifully written and touching. The only spot I thought felt sloppy was the end of stanza 3 'As he smiled and ran to play outside

I began to realize' kinda interrupted the flow a little but not enough to really make a difference.

i don't think so its clumsy, maybe from my point of view... it was good and the message that nothing last forever is nice and the fact too

I think this is wonderful, celebrating life and reminding us we ought to stop once in a while and appreciate all of it before we no longer can.

Wonderful piece!!! I loved how you offered what almost seemed like a conclusion to your poem. It had a really good flow, but was shaky in some areas, but the rest of the poem made up for it. Excellent piece. :)

Wow, this is very beautiful, strong and powerful poem. I loved it. You were really right of what you said in the poem about life, you were very positive in this poem I can see and feel that. I like how you talked about the morning and what you saw.. all were great. Well done, Cattie Rain.

There is a beautiful message of life and light flowing through your words. To see the peaceful images and to sense the depth of blessings all around us. Wonderfully done.
