My Face

My Face

A Poem by Caio Emmanuel
"

About me

"
I make myself a piece of a game
A chessboard
A dance in a prom
A day in a month

I make a riot, start a mess
Show the beautiful lady how to laugh
I make sex, make a funny one
Make a misbehaving son

I make draws, make art
Make a little world, and of it I make part
I make myself a spoon, a favorite dish
Make of a wrong answer, a right mistake

Make me a friend, better or any
Make a lovely play so I applaud standing
Make my house a home, of my home a dream
Make the tear a book about a smilling boy

I make myself a biography, make in profile
Make myself a color no one as ever seen
Make of letters a book, and of the book a paper plane
Play myself dumb, inteligent and a complete a*****e

Make the family united
Make siblings one, just.
Make on my life, changes.
'Till we return to dust.

I really like this poem. It shows all we can do and all we have the capability of doing. We don't think of that often. And you did an exceptional job translating it. It sounds as if it was originally written in english and it flows beautifully.
